Ania was raised by her mother, Scarlet Witch or Wanda Maximoff. She had been raised to believe that he was her father; but when she finds out after her Uncle Pietor is her actual uncle and not her father. Ania became upset and this was when her powers kicked. Like her granfather, she had the ability to control the magentic field of objects, which allowed her to lift up a large metal table and slam it against the wall at the young age of 10, which shocked her mother. After that: Much isn't known about her childhood; it seemed like Wanda didn't want her to remember anything about it. She sealed off her powers for now then But that was until Magneto got wind that Pietor and Wanda were raising a daughter together and he feared for the child's safety and took her away from Wanda, convincing her that it was best for the child.

When Ania was 13, she began having headaches and whatnot that caused her to throw up and lose  consciousness sometimes, to where whe couldn't remember who she was. All she could remember was when she woke up, everything electrical and metal was destroyed. This left her confused and scared, the family that she had managed to live with for certain foster family; which were antimutant activist, not a good situation for her to be in.  When her powers manifest, her foster father sent a messge to Antimutant act, and they sent a sential after her. But what happened was when the sential went after her powers completely manifested and she ripped the thing apart, with her powers, she manged to wrap a power line around it's neck and strangle it to death. She then was kicked out of the family and shunned by her being a mutant. That was until she came in contact with the Xmen and began to stay at Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters. That was where she recieved her training from Polaris to strengthen her control of magnectic and electromagnetic fields; because with out training her powers would go outta whack. After being saved she became and xmen and that's where she lives.

That was until M-Day happened, to where many Mutants lost their powers, but it had the exact opposite effect on Magent. Instead of losing her powers, which she woudn't have minded; hers manifest to the full scale they could be. There had been predictions with the right training, that she could become just as powerful as Magneto, but that would have been with training. But what happened was when Scarlet Witch decided to reset the world, it caused her powers to grow to rapidly, for her to handle. She gained the power of electromagnetism and the ability to control static electricity, all at once. Her magnetism also increased to where she couldn't control it. She was sent on a mission with some of the Xmen to save a few of the members that had been captured, and something set her off. She freaked out and destroyed a whole building, but this came with great sacrifise, she was put into a coma and lost her powers for six months. She regained them, but they still were unstable. While she was out, Magneto and Professor Xavier created a special type of bracelettes that would contain her extreme amount of wild magnetical energy until she was able to use them. So, when she goes into combat she has to wear them. 

 

Looking for her mother: 

Ania always wanted to know who her mother was, she knew that her grandfather was Magneto. She didn't know who her mother was. Her memory was quite vague from the age of birth to 10, she couldn't remember anything about her past. She had been told as a kid she was in a bad accident and her parents had died.  But she didn't think that was true, so she began to track down who her mother was. She was warned by Professor Xavier that it wouldn't be a good idea for her to something like that. She told him she needed to find her mother, to find out what happened to her past. She basically had a choice to leave the Xmen or stay with them. But she was told once she found out who her mother was, she'd be welcome back with the Xmen. She went on her misison, and that was where she encounters The Young Avengers, as she manages to be pulled into their line of fire. She proves herself to be an important asset to them and they ask her to join  them and she said yes. 

On her quest to find her mother, she met two males that turned out to be her older brothers. Tommy who was Speed who had the power of Quick Silver and Billy who had the powers of the Scarlet Witch. With Magnet's powers they all were a perfect mirror of powers of their family members. She along with Billy had breeched into Doctor Doom's castle and became reunited with their mother when all this crap went down. But to sum it all up, it wound up with the family being runited and the Scarlet Witch explaining to Ania why she did it for her own safety, because her powers had been unstable at that time. Ania understood and her mother and her reunited. 

After Metting her Mother and her brother: 

After meeting her family and spending a few months getting to know her mother. On the eve of her 18th birthday, she was given an ultimatum  to join the Avengers or go back with the Xmen. She chose to go back with the Xmen, because if it wasn't for them; she would have never been able to meet her mother. When she re-joined the Xmen, she became part of an operative that was trained to free mutants from Anti-Mutant prisons. But she did it in a peaceful manner to where she would protest and help show that mutants could peaceful and not bring anguish to humans. That was until, she saw the whole half of her team being mowed down by Juggernaught who was hired by the Anti-mutant act to take down the peaceful protestors; somehow in the fray Magneto and them came to their rescue, Ania had been knocked out. It had been The Brotherhood that had came to save her ass; instead of the Xmen who promised to save her. She then realized that being with the Xmen wasn't in the best interest for her and managed to be manipulated by Mezmero(who was working with her grandpa at the time) to join them. Once she was under his control, Magneto began to teach her how to use her powers for "not so good" reason. That was until The Scarlet Witch got wind of it and broke her daughter's mind manipulation, and saved her. She then with the help of her mother rejoined the Xmen to where she now is on a new special team that works around the world taking down threats to mutants and to humans.
